I moved to San Jose, California from Taipei, Taiwan in the summer of 2000 as a student. I have learned how to cook when I was a student by watching "the food network” TV shows, and I also have written about my life in America for my blog as a way to stay connected with my family and friends. Through internet and blogging, I met many people in the Bay Area which have helped me to go through the time without family here.
After I graduated from San Jose State
University as Communication Studies major, I started my real estate
career with my husband Mark. It has been great since most of our
business are referrals
from friends, neighbors, ex-coworkers, and people who know us.
In my free time, which is very little, I enjoy reading, gardening, trying new recipes or restaurants, and photography. I bought my first DSLR camera in 2006 and I began my serious journey into photography. I love to shoot food, residential houses, landscape and macro flowers.
I always love food, especially the good looking and great tasting food. I always photograph the dishes I order (when you see an Asian lady who is taking photos in a restaurant, it might be me). And I began to wonder why the food photos look so gorgeous in magazines. I am learning from many of food blogs and food photography websites, and also from cooking classes.
My husband and I live in an
Eichler, which was built in the 1960s, a mid-century modern architectural design
back then and it still is today. I love everything that is modern - houses, art
and furniture. The love for residential photography start with the fact that I can't
stand to see bad pictures on the flyers or on MLS for houses that are for sale
regardless of the price point. I also love interior design, decorating and home staging. I have taken training on Interior Redesign and Home Staging to learn more about it and helps me to do a better job on serving our clients.
My job
allows me to do what I love - decorate homes to make them beautiful,
take great photographs to showcase them, and sell them to wonderful
families. I couldn't
find a better job then being a Realtor which allows me to apply all my
passion.
I believe that success is not a matter of chance; it's a matter of CHOICE.
